African Coffee Roasters EPZ - Kenya
Roasting coffee where it’s grown isn’t just possible—it’s the future.
In 2015, Coop Denmark and IFU set out to change the game, launching a state-of-the-art roasting facility in Kenya. The goal? To give East African coffee producers direct access to international markets, greater control over their product, and a stronger voice in the global coffee conversation.
At African Coffee Roasters, we’re proving that roasted coffee can be commercially exported from producer countries—reshaping the supply chain and rewriting the narrative. By focusing on producer needs, unlocking market opportunities, and connecting farmers to coffee lovers worldwide, we’re building a model that’s ethical, responsible, and built to last.

SOURCE
Our value chain begins at farm level. It is part of our company DNA to work with small scale family farms and we strive towards having as direct relation ship with as possible.
Roast
We transport the coffee from coffee farmers straight to our roasting facility in Athi River, Kenya. Here the coffee is roasted and fully packed in consumer units, ready for consumption.
SERVE
We export the final products directly to our customers. More than 150 million cups of our coffee are enjoyed by consumers world wide every year.
Expanding Horizons:
Our First Entry into the U.S. Market
Our shared mission goes beyond exceptional coffee. We are committed to empowering the communities that make every sip possible. From partnering with women farmers to ensuring equal profit-sharing, we focus on creating meaningful change. In the traditional coffee industry, only about 10% of the $200 billion annual retail value of coffee goes back to the producing countries. Our model shifts over 50% of that value to the farmers, millers and roasters who craft these fine coffees. We believe that is a more fair value distribution.
So, if you are in the USA, go check out www.pressocoffees.com and explore their new unique and premium product line of hand-roasted coffees delivered straight from Africa to your doorstep!
